Torch Technologies is currently seeking to hire the following position:
Engineer/Software Developer - Junior Level
B.S. Degree in Engineering, Software Development, or similar technical discipline is required with 5-8 years of experience.
This position will provide support for 3D graphical simulation software development, test, integration and resulting application operation in the area of advanced sensor technology. The position requires experience with developing JAVA-based, C and C++ software applications in Windows and Linux operating environments. Experience with Mathworks model-based development and the Simulink toolbox is a plus.
The following desired experience & skill sets are a plus for this position:
NASA World Wind SDK; OpenGL; JAVA3D; Python scripting language; familiarity with geo-spatial data formats such as digital terrain elevation, high resolution terrain imagery, and shapefiles; understanding of networking topology and packet data (TCP/IP and UDP); MathWorks model-based development, Simulink toolbox, and code generation; experience with digital simulation related to missile defense; and experience with hardware-in-the-loop related to missile defense
The candidate must be able to work independently on assigned tasks and present results to peers. Candidate will be working in a multi-contractor, government team environment.
