Senior Systems Engineer (Part-time)

Albuquerque, NM

Torch Technologies is currently seeking a senior systems engineer with experience in optical imaging and digital signal processing systems.  Experience in High Energy Laser systems and R&D program management is also required.  Responsibilities include systems engineering planning, requirements management, risk management, trade studies and trade study optimization methods, conducting technical maturity assessments, and developing program protection plans.

The selected candidate must be able to work both independently and as part of a team in a collaborative environment composed of Government, Prime Contractor, and Supporting Contractor personnel.  The selected candidate will develop and present technical reports and briefings as required.  Occasional travel may be required. 

A BS Degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, or physics is required with a minimum of 20 years' experience in the development and support of military and civil space systems and program management.  An MS degree is highly desired. 

This will be a temporary, on-call position for government-sponsored projects. 

Position requires candidate to posses a current  secret clearance in order to access classified information.  Inability to maintain a security clearance will result in the candidate being ineligible for this position.
