In anticipation of contract award, Torch Technologies will have the following possible opening:
Torch Technologies is seeking a System Analyst with ability to support new Ballistic Missile Defense System analysis. This position requires collocation with Collaborative Test and Evaluation Center (CTEC) personnel on Redstone Arsenal, building #4500W. The job consists of providing algorithm testing and modeling and simulation for the CTEC in support of MDA C2BMC efforts. Support includes evaluation of active/passive sensor algorithm performance, discrimination, tracking and sensor fusion performance in context of C2BMC.
This position requires an understanding of radar (particularly SBX, AN/TPY-2, and LRDR) sensors and related technologies, sensor resource management, battle management, etc., and the ability to effectively communicate team activities and results to the MDA and AMRDEC customers. MATLAB programming experience required and Java and/or C/C++ is highly desired. Modeling and simulation experience is also highly desired. Familiarity with the BMD Benchmark is desired. Degree in physics, aerospace engineering, mathematics, electrical engineering, or computer science.
A B.S., M.S, and/or PhD in Physics, Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science plus 0-20 years of related experience is required. Related experience includes areas of modeling and simulation of optical or RF sensors, analysis of optical or RF signatures, image processing, as well as passive and active sensor tracking and target trajectory estimation.
