Junior Software Developer (Full-time)

Huntsville, AL

Torch is currently seeking a junior-level software developer to support the development of analytical tools and databases for the Missile Defense Agency. 

The selected candidate will work in a team environment and must be capable of completing tasks accurately and on-time with limited oversight.  We are seeking highly engaged, proactive engineers and computer scientists who are responsive, excellent communicators, and demonstrate customer focus.  Primary responsibilities will include software development, import and export of data using enterprise relational database systems, and database delivery to end-users.

Candidates Should be Knowledgeable of:
 - Microsoft Visual Studio
 - C# / .NET 4.0 and 4.5
 - User Interface Development with WinForms and/or Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF)
 - Enterprise Relational Database Systems (e.g. Microsoft SQL Server 2014)
 - Structured Query Language (SQL) Syntax and Usage
 - Team Foundation Server (TFS) and/or Subversion (SVN)
 - Microsoft Access and VBA Development

The Following Knowledge and Skills are Beneficial:
 - Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) Knowledge
 - Tactical Message Format Knowledge (e.g. VMF, Link16, USMTF, etc.)
 - Microsoft Office Interop API
 - Web Application Experience with ASP.NET 4
 - GIS and Mapping Knowledge (e.g. KML)

Some availability to travel is desired.  A B.S. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline from an accredited university and 3+ years of experience is required.
