Torch is seeking a Systems Engineer to support ground station control software development activities and interoperability requirements development for Army Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). This engineering support will be provided for all phases of project execution including the development of project requirements.
Reporting activities will include the generation and presentation of project status, management summaries, planning documentation, and the generation of requirements documents and statements of work.
Other activities include establishing detailed interoperability requirements, providing support for compliance testing, and coordination of results within the UAS community.
All candidates must have a demonstrated ability to interact with customers and vendors to resolve complex engineering and management challenges. Experience in formal program management processes including EVMS, both from a vendor's and buyer's perspective, is desired. Demonstrated self-initiative, leadership, and customer interface skills are essential. Must possess the ability to clearly express ideas/concepts, perform as part of a team, and be capable of operating in a multi-tasking environment. Experience with aviation systems is highly desired.
A Bachelor's degree in engineering or another technical discipline is required with 10- 20 years' experience.
Position requires that candidate meet requirements to obtain a final security clearance in order to access classified information. Inability to obtain a security clearance will result in candidate being ineligible for this position.
Some travel will be required. This position is located in Huntsville, AL.
