Torch Technologies is currently seeking to hire a junior to intermediate level engineer to fill an immediate opening for test support in the area of optical sensors. The position will involve both lab and field optical data collections. A successful candidate will possess an interest and background in one or more of the following areas:
A Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, physics, or similar technical discipline and 2+ years experience is required.
A well-suited candidate will be self-motivated and flexible with regard to tasking and scheduling. Candidate will be required to quickly learn multiple software/hardware packages both COTS and custom. Hands-on hardware experience is required.
Position requires that candidate possess a final security clearance in order to access classified information. Inability to maintain a security clearance will result in candidate being ineligible for this position.
Candidate must be able to travel as needed. Significant travel to both CONUS/OCONUS is REQUIRED.
Candidate must be willing to participate in manual labor activities during field collections and to be capable of lifting ~ 50 pounds of equipment.
