TMAS Information Assurance/Cybersecurity Engineer (Full-time)

Eglin AFB, FL

Torch is currently seeking to hire the following position:

Information Assurance/Cybersecurity Engineer


This position will support the Air Force Research Laboratory Munitions Directorate (AFRL/RW) and is resident at Eglin AFB, Florida. 
Qualified candidate will be required to perform cyber security (information assurance) network and desktop
administration duties for Microsoft Windows 2008/2012 servers and Microsoft Windows workstations. Candidate will also assist in configuring computers, installing software and diagnosing hardware and software operational issues, and installing and maintaining the Air Force Standard Desktop Configuration.

The successful candidate will
assist the Government in hardening Microsoft and Linux operating system workstations and servers and assist in auditing system activities on enclave networks; perform security functions, such as auditing or backups, in accordance with the Joint Special Access Program Implementation Guide (JSIG) and Risk Management Framework (RMF); assist in implementing and maintaining Type I encryption devices and associated COMSEC hardware in support of secure networking and videoconferencing.

Candidate will be required to produce, maintain, and revise systems security plans in compliance with the JSIG, maintain documentation in the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS), and develop, update, and coordinate system Interim Authority to Operate (IATO) and Approval to Operate (ATO) packages for Certification and Accreditation (C&A) approval.


A Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field plus three to ten years of relevant experience is desired.   Six years of experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree.  

Applicants must be qualified and certified as Certified Information Systems Security Professionals (CISSP) or Security+ in compliance with DoDD 8570.1. T

This position requires a working knowledge of network design and
network communications theory. Experience must include troubleshooting desktop operating system and network connectivity issues, as well as application support.

Applicants must have experience with configuring one or more of the following: Microsoft Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Domain Name System (DNS), and Active Directory; Microsoft Exchange; networking computing systems (hardware and software) over a wide range of network topologies, including special point-to-point, Wide Area, and Local Area; knowledge of network systems architectures and client/server computing modes; network operating system experience and proficiency using Microsoft 2008/2012 R2/Win 7 (32-bit & 64-bit); the TCP/IP protocol suite including NFS, SMTP, SNMP, or network standards, (i.e., IEEE 802.3, 10baseT); network management software, concepts and troubleshooting techniques and diagnostic tools; network security issues including those associated with internet connectivity and the application of firewalls.

Applicants must be extremely well
organized and capable of working in a highly classified/complex computer environment.

communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
