Customer Engagement/Knowledge Manager (Full-time)

Honolulu, Hawaii

Torch Technologies, a 100% employee-owned company, is currently seeking qualified professionals to support USPACOM Exercise execution for the Pacific Warfighting Center in support of the J3.  The Pacific Warfighting Center provides support for USPACOM Joint Exercises for US and Allied warfighter training and readiness. 

This position is in support of Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Unclassified Information Sharing Service (UISS) All Partners Access Network (APAN) may be at USPACOM Pacific Warfighting Center, Ford Island Hawaii or remotely, as needed. The Knowledge Manager (KM) is responsible for the UISS organization-wide knowledge sharing to ensure that the organization's know-how, information, and experience is shared both internally and externally with clients, partners, and stakeholders. The KM works with military and non-military clients to refine knowledge management strategies and to improve the usability of information, knowledge and tools. The KM works directly with Software Development team by providing requirements for product development, serving as a product manager and conducting quality assurance testing.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure APAN customers around the globe receive the appropriate training and support necessary to promote APAN usage, knowledge management and new capabilities support.
  • Promote the use of the available tools on APAN in support of developing communities, groups and sites to meet customer’s requirements.
  • Creating and delivering Training Material in person and virtually
  • Present briefs and overviews to senior level executives and / or general officers
  • Coordinate group & webinar training development and online training materials.
  • Conduct consultations, briefs, training and presentations to varied audiences while promoting and providing “how to” support for tools that promote collaboration and information sharing.
  • Assist and support APAN users and events (i.e. exercises, webinars, briefs, training, conferences, internal teambuilding sessions, etc.).
  • Conduct assessments on existing baseline processes and procedures
  • Evaluate new processes & procedures for integration and implementation into user communities.
  • International travel may be required at times to support training, exercises, outreach briefings and conferences.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

  • Experience using or implementing social media in a business and/or gov’t environment
  • Ability using tools including, collaborative systems, Web technologies and applications
  • Skilled in SharePoint Operation and Administration
  • Knowledge promoting & providing technical support for collaborative tools including but not limited to COIs, wikis, blogs, forums and web conferencing tools
  • Experience assisting teams who work together to develop software, customer requirements, user feedback, product management, and quality assurance testing
  • Experience with HTML / XML / JavaScript / Ajax is desired

A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline and five (5) years of directly related experience is required. Additional relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. 

This position requires that the selected candidate have an active final SECRET security clearance in order to access classified information. Inability to maintain a security clearance will result in candidate being ineligible for this position.

This position is located in Honolulu, Hawaii. Travel will vary, and may be as much as approximately 10%.
