Missile Avionics Engineer (Full-time)

Huntsville, AL

Torch Technologies is currently seeking to hire a Missile Avionics Engineer.

This position is to support MDA programs avionics engineering to assist in electronic hardware development, obsolescence redesign, production, and failure analysis for avionics systems on missile production contracts. 

The candidate must be able to work within a collaborative environment composed of Gov, prime contractor, support contractors and other Gov agencies/personnel in a badge-less contractor environment.  Primary duties will be evaluating, tracking and reporting avionics systems development, production, quality, and obsolescence issues.  The candidate will be interfacing directly with Government customers, prime contractors and other support staff. 

Excellent oral and written communication skills will be required to coordinate effectively across MDA organizational structure and respond to actions from Project Office leadership.  The candidate must be proficient with MS Office suite.  Experience working with major missile defense avionics systems is a must.

A Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or other technical/engineering field is required. It is desired that the candidate have 10+ years experience in Ballistic Missile Defense. 

Position requires that candidate possess a final security clearance in order to access classified information.  Inability to maintain a security clearance will result in candidate being ineligible for this position.
