Modeling and Simulation Engineer Intern (Part-time)

Huntsville, AL

Torch Technologies is currently providing an amazing opportunity for immediate internship while you finish your degree in engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics, or other technical discipline. In the position you will work a full schedule for one semester, during which time you will be given one or more projects to complete under the mentorship of a senior engineer. Part-time schedules may be available before or after this semester to expand your on-the-job mentorship experience; which will allow the unique opportunity to gain valuable work experience while completing your degree with the flexibility for class work as well.

Required Education/Experience: A minimum of Junior standing towards a Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics, or other technical discipline is required. The successful applicant will be a highly-motivated, self-starter with a strong desire and high aptitude for learning new technologies. These may include 3D visualization using virtual and augmented reality, physics-based scene generation, thermal simulations (heat transfer), missile-based simulations, terrain modeling, satellite imagery processing, and general algorithm research and software development.

The successful applicant will join a multi-disciplinary team of talented engineers to develop new approaches for modeling and simulation technologies. Specific experience and interest in Linux and C++ is helpful but not necessary.
