Customer Engagement/Knowledge Manager (Full-time)

Honolulu, Hawaii

Torch Technologies, a 100% employee-owned company, is currently seeking qualified professionals to support USPACOM Exercise execution for the Pacific Warfighting Center in support of the J3.  The Pacific Warfighting Center provides support for USPACOM Joint Exercises for US and Allied warfighter training and readiness. 

The APAN SharePoint Knowledge Manager (KM) is
responsible for organization-wide knowledge sharing to ensure that the organization's SharePoint know-how, information, and experience is shared with staff, clients, partners, and stakeholders. The APAN SharePoint KM works with military and non-military clients and in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment to provide basic administration for Microsoft SharePoint enterprise-level content management, operation and knowledge management to meet the needs across multiple applications and software product teams. While not a deeply technical role, the APAN SharePoint KM will require intermediate technical skills to improve SharePoint management, access, and user training and development. The SharePoint KM also works closely with APAN Software Development Teams, Customer Help Desk, System Administrators and Information Assurance Security Engineers by providing SharePoint requirements for product development and serving as the SharePoint product manager.
   

Duties & Responsibilities

Works closely with product development teams to shape SharePoint content management strategies and processes that promote project documentation, knowledge retention and transfer.  Fill the role of APAN SharePoint Product Manager. 

  • Responsible for performing SharePoint day-to-day activities, including systems design, end user support, team meetings, process modeling, enhancements, change management and educating clients on SharePoint best practices.
  • Provide basic site and content administration support by managing SharePoint permissions, and creating and maintaining sites, workspaces, workflows, lists, and libraries.
  • Closely working with team members and clients to structure and organize content in accordance with SharePoint documentation requirements and processes
  • Assist developers with testing custom solutions, creating process documentation, & troubleshooting technical problems with SharePoint 2010.
  • Conduct consultations, briefs, training and presentations to varied audiences while promoting and providing technical support for collaborative tools.
  • Design, develop, and maintain SharePoint custom sites, applications, and workflows built on to support and streamline business processes.
  • Assists with development & configuration of SharePoint doc libraries, lists & site collection
  • Create SharePoint training materials and educate users on SharePoint best practices.
  • Maintain and refine permissions and SharePoint groups.
  • Set up and manipulate web parts, maintain and modify master pages, and connect to various data sources for dynamic display of information.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

  • Demonstrated on-the-job experience troubleshooting user reported issues while maintaining a customer friendly attitude.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), Microsoft SharePoint 2013/ O365, InfoPath, Workflow
  • Microsoft SharePoint 2010 or 2013 Certification is preferred
  • Some Experience with ASP.NET / HTML / XML / JavaScript / Ajax is preferred
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical discipline and a minimum of three (3) years of directly related experience is required. Additional relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. 


This position requires that the selected candidate have an active final SECRET security clearance in order to access classified information. Inability to maintain a security clearance will result in candidate being ineligible for this position.

This position is located in Honolulu, Hawaii. Travel will vary, and may be as much as approximately 10%.
