Mid-Level Radar M&S Engineer (Full-time)

Huntsville, AL

Torch Technologies is currently seeking a junior to mid level engineer to support sensor modeling and simulation efforts. The candidate will be part of a team exploring advanced design concepts for distributed real time fire control systems.

The candidate will adapt existing, and develop new, medium and high fidelity sensor simulations to support analysis of impacts of track state data produced by distributed tracking algorithms on weapon system engagement performance. The candidate will develop and implement algorithms to represent complex sensor behaviors within fire control processing. 

The candidate will support simulation based Monte Carlo analysis to compare and contrast different approaches to representing sensor coverage and track quality within fire control data processing.  The candidate will also assist in the exploration of using machine learning approaches to represent complex sensor behaviors and forecast future track states given a dynamically changing sensor context.

Qualified applicants will have good programming skills (C++, and FORTRAN desired), be able to work independently, and take a proactive role to assure that responsibilities are completed on or ahead of schedule. Expertise with Windows and Linux operating systems is required.

The candidate must be able to work within a collaborative environment composed of Government, Prime Contractor, and Supporting Contractor personnel. Candidate will have excellent communication and technical writing skills. Experience working with Army air and missile defense systems is preferred.

A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical discipline is required with 5 plus year's of experience.

This position requires that candidate possess a final security clearance, with the ability to obtain higher clearances, in order to access classified information.   Inability to maintain a security clearance will result in candidate being ineligible for this position.
