Senior SQL Server Adminstrator (Full-time)

Huntsville, AL

In anticipation of funding, Torch Technologies may have the following position:

SQL Server Systems Administrator  - Senior Level

Candidate will be required to interface and proactively work with MDA software engineers to implement analyses reporting requirements via SQL Server databases, SQL Server analysis services, and SQL Server reporting services.

Candidate will also be required to perform systems administration activities on MDA networks, to include database optimization and profiling studies on large databases, and training on how to program C# code, SQL queries, and SQL stored procedures to optimize the performance of SQL Server databases. Candidate will be required to work individually and in a team environment with BMDS software engineers and analysts to develop requirements, design prototypes, and implement key database modifications in a rapid prototyping environment.

Required Skills: 10 + years of senior level SQL Server experience, Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) experience, and certifications to include Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA), Microsoft Certified Information Technology Professional (MCITP), and Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA).

Desired Skills: Desired experience includes a working knowledge of Data Warehouse architecture and how that applies to SQL Server, SSAS, SSRS, Stored Procedures, data layer design and development for C# .Net applications. Additionally, the following certifications are desired Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), and Security+.
