Logistics Engineer (Full-time)

Hanscom AFB, MA

Torch Technologies, a 100% employee owned company, is currently seeking a Logistics Engineer to provide acquisition and life cycle sustainment support to the National Airspace Systems (NAS) program, which is within the Battle Management Directorate (AFLCMC/HB) at Hanscom AFB, MA.


  • Provide Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) services that include drafting and reviewing logistics documentation to include ILS Plans (ILSPs), RFPs, SOWs, PWSs, Technical Requirements Documents (TRDs), CDRLs, SEPs, LCSPs, Technical Manuals (TMs), Technical Orders, FCA/PCA documents, and Depot Source of Repair (DSOR)

  • Document, evaluate, and review the development/sustainment system’s life cycle cost analyses
  • Developing logistics instructions for operational organizations regarding field implementations of system logistics concepts
  • Coordinate procurement of logistics deliverables (e.g., spares, support equipment, technical manuals, and training support) with FAA and other stakeholder organizations
  • Integrate system upgrade documentation into logistics information repositories
  • Responsible for lead logistics support for planning, managing, and coordinating the total cradle-to- grave life cycle logistics support for assigned systems or subsystems, integrating separate functions of supply, maintenance, procurement, and quality assurance into logistics activities required to sustain system fielding.
  • Participates in determining support requirements; i.e., workloads; schedules; spares and supplies; test equipment; facilities; skills; and training.
  • Defines scope, interface requirements, policy issues, and performance criteria.
  • Develops Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) implementation plans and milestones as directed by policy and guidance to provide the best product for the user, ensuring the most effective and economical means of support are considered and planned for during all stages of a weapon system's life cycle.
  • Assesses the logistics impact of acquisition programs, identifies overall logistics tasks to be performed and takes actions to meet requirements.


  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of sustainment support experience
  • Experience on DoD or Air Force acquisition programs desired
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in an IPT environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office suite
  • Must be a US citizen
