Senior Communications Analyst (Full-time)

Huntsville, AL

Torch Technologies, a 100% employee-owned and rapidly growing company, is building a team to support the Army’s AMCOM G-4 environmental and logistics program and currently seeking to hire a Senior Communications Analyst.

The qualified candidate must be highly motivated, able to work independently and as part of a mixed team of contractors and government personnel, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, have exceptional organizational skills, and able to interface professionally and effectively with the Army AMCOM and G-4 Staff and other analysts.

The successful candidate will be responsible for authoring official correspondence, creating/reviewing presentation materials and reviewing content for readability.  

Qualified candidates will have direct experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Develop executive level communications to support senior leadership staff.
  • Ensure all documents and presentations meet Army communication standards.
  • Review reports or associated correspondence packages for completeness, structure, content, and format; analyze information from a variety of acquisition and program sources; author, review, and edit documents and prepare reports.
  • Must ensure that senior leader decisions are clearly communicated in items of correspondence prepared for signature; determine the acceptability of documents based on composition, coordination, and logical analysis.
  • Possess the ability to work under pressure, consistently meet deadlines, manage priorities, and handle sensitive information; and interact with and manage a broad range of highly sensitive issues with in AMCOM G-4, other Army and DoD organizations as well as other federal agencies.


  • A Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of ten (10) years of experience.  Additional, relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience in military communications, with an emphasis on executive-level communications. 
  • Subject matter expertise in communications, media, and military operations.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, and an ability to work in a team environment with well-defined roles.
  • Development of white papers, project documents and briefings appropriate for executive leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to brief executive leadership.
  • Example of an executive level presentation produced by the candidate may be requested.

Position requires that the selected candidate have an active final security clearance. Inability to maintain a security clearance will result in candidate being ineligible for this position.

This position is in Huntsville, AL on Redstone Arsenal. Some travel is required, approx. 5%.
