Property Administrator (Full-time)

Huntsville, AL

Torch Technologies, a 100% employee owned company, is currently seeking to hire a full-time Property Administrator
 
BS/BA or equivalent experience.  Five years of experience performing government property administration and accounting duties.
The successful candidate will be responsible for administering property control program activities to ensure continual accountability of government, contractor-acquired, and company property in accordance with applicable government regulations, contractual requirements, and corporate policy and procedure.

Duties to include, but not limited to:
  • maintaining property accountability records and determine condition and arrangement of disposal of surplus or obsolete material or equipment
  • track maintenance and calibration of property as applicable
  • conduct property audits and provide guidance on government regulations pertaining to property accountability
  • maintain an awareness of regulatory changes and their impact on corporate and contractual interests
  • develop, recommend, and implement property administration policy and procedure
  • identify property issues and provide leadership recommendations in developing solutions
  • represent the organization as a prime contact with external and internal customers to include interaction with Directorate and Executive level personnel on significant matters
  • may provide training or direction to personnel
Qualified applicant will have good communication (oral and written) skills and the ability to establish and maintain a close relationship with internal and external customers, as well as, other administrative departments. Candidate must be able to work independently and take a proactive role to assure that items are completed on or ahead of schedule. Must have a working knowledge of applicable property regulations, tools and best practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products to include - Word and Excel, and with Deltek Costpoint is a plus. 
 
Position may require that candidate meet requirements to obtain a final security clearance in order to access classified information. If required, inability to obtain a security clearance will result in candidate being ineligible for this position.
