Cybersecurity Project Manager - Scheduler (Full-time)

Colorado Springs, CO

Torch Technologies, a 100% employee-owned company is currently seeking a Cybersecurity Project Management professional to manage team resources across the Torch ICVA program team.  

The candidate will manage the MDA/ ICVA Integrated Master Schedule aggregating Cybersecurity operational and test event requirements from multiple reporting sources.  The candidate must be a certified PMP and have a comprehensive understanding of MS Project and Project Server.   The Candidate must be able to demonstrate and use the reporting tools inherent to MS Project and to provide metrics associated with resource allocation, event or project dependencies, schedule reporting, and forecasting. A working knowledge of MS SharePoint administration recommended   

The experienced project professional will provide expertise to the MDA Certification and Accreditation (C&A), Cybersecurity Controls Validation Test (CCVT) teams in organizing and tracking assessment events and activity time lines, and provide guidance and notification of schedule conflicts. Candidate must be well organized and provide timely deliverables.  The candidate will be required to build and maintain Work Breakdown Structures and associated workflows for activities. 

A background or understanding of Cybersecurity policies, practices, and directives a real plus.  It is recommended that the candidate be familiar with the concepts of penetration/vulnerability assessments, Software Weakness Evaluations (CWE), have a knowledge of DoD network engineering/security standards, working knowledge of Risk Management Framework, NIST, DoD Information Technology, eMASS, and other IA risk management applications and compliance reporting systems. Candidates will have to become familiar with DISA STIGs and IAVM requirements.

Candidate must have solid communication skills in order to understand, report, and explain schedule and resource variances as relating to scheduled cybersecurity activities.

A background in  IT and networks systems a plus. Technical skill set and background with various operating systems, networking protocols, IDS/IPS/firewall technologies, and DoD assessment tools and methods are highly recommended.

Specific Requirements include: 

  • A current PMI Professional Project Management Certificate required
  • 10 years of general IT Project Management experience  
  • IT Security Certifications highly recommended (CISSP, SEC +, CEH, CASP, Etc…)
  • IT Technical Certifications encouraged (Network +, A+, CCNA, Etc…)
  • Computing Environment certifications: DoDs Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), NESSUS, and NMap recommended

A Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in a technical degree is desired and 5+ years experience is required.

This position requires a current Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility in order to access classified information.
