BES Directorate’s Collective Mission:
Acquiring, operating, sustaining, and enabling enterprise IT capabilities while accelerating the modernization of USAF BES. As part of this effort Torch will provide services related to Sustainment, Modernization, Research, Development, Test and Evaluation and Prototyping of USAF BES.
Transition Hiring Activities & Events
To create a smooth transition to Torch, we have provided the following timeline of hiring activities and important events. Please frequent this page over the course of the next several weeks to stay up to date on the latest news with the transition and activities that you need to complete. Your adherence to the deadlines below will assist in a swift and easy transition.
Activity 1 -
Apply to EPASS GB Incumbent Requisition
Due Thursday, Feb. 2nd
Submit your resume and latest pay stub to Torch Technologies by applying to the following link.
Activity 2 -
Attend Torch Open House Event
Attend a Torch Open House Event in your area.
Open Houses are tentatively scheduled between Feb. 13-23.
Information regarding times and locations coming soon.
Activity 3 -
Accept Offer Letter
Due Thursday, Feb. 17th
Offers of employment will be sent to personal emails no later than Friday, Feb. 10th.
Accept your offer letter no later than Friday, Feb. 24th.

Activity 4 –
Complete New Hire Paperwork
Due Thursday, Mar. 9th
Upon acceptance of your offer, you will receive a welcome email directing you to our onboarding system.
Complete the majority of your new hire paperwork.
Begin to review benefits information to identify what benefit elections you will make.
Timely completion of this activity is important to enable a smooth transition.

Activity 5 –
Register for Orientation
Due Friday, March 3rd
Torch Transition Teams will be onsite in San Antonio, Montgomery, and Dayton to conduct live orientation sessions.
Orientation sessions are tentatively scheduled for the weeks of March 13-17 and/or March 20-24.
You will only need to register for one session.
You will need to bring a copy of your I-9 documents with you to this session, plus any documents you have completed and need to submit to Torch.
Registration will be conducted through a Sign-Up Genius link. Information regarding times and locations coming soon.
Activity 6 –
Contract Start Date
The EPASS GB effort will transition on Saturday, April 1st.
You will report to your duty station as a Torch employee-owner on Monday, April 3rd.
Activity 7 –
Enroll in Benefits
You will receive information regarding benefits enrollment in your orientation meetings and onboarding portal.
You have 30 days from your start date to enroll in benefits.
Benefits enrollment must be completed no later than Monday, May 1st to receive benefits for the remainder of 2023.
