Torch Awarded Lifecycle Engineering Support Contract
Torch Technologies is pleased to announce it was awarded a $156.3M contract by the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Research, Development, and Engineering Center's (AMRDEC) Engineering Directorate (ED) for full spectrum technical research, development, and engineering support of DoD systems. The contract has a 3½ year period of performance including exercised options and will be executed primarily in Huntsville, AL.
Torch's team will integrate Army needs across the complete range of life-cycle engineering responsibilities for programs and products. Engineering expertise delivered under the contract enables comprehensive and rapid research, design, development, production, acquisition, test, delivery, sustainment, modification, modernization, and reclamation support for aviation, missile, ground, sea, and soldier systems and all associated development, production, and support equipment.
"The Lifecycle contract allows Torch to continue building upon our success delivering innovative solutions for Warfighter systems which rely upon ED's broad lifecycle engineering expertise," Torch President and CEO John Watson said. "We are honored to support this effort in partnership with the AMRDEC Engineering Directorate." The U.S. Army AMRDEC is operationally aligned with the U.S. Army's new Army Futures Command (AFC). The AMRDEC provides an extensive research, development, engineering, and acquisition capability to enable responsive solutions for the nation's Warfighters. AMRDEC has the mission to deliver collaborative and innovative aviation and missile capabilities for responsive and cost-effective research, development, life cycle engineering, and modernization solutions.
